"Joyce (Kathy Baker) almost singlehandedly earned Edward Scissorhands its rating of 4 Butts!

Joyce was seen smoking in almost every scene in which she appears.  For example, in this scene Joyce is showing Edward (Johnny Depp) a salon that she is leasing for him to start his career as a hair stylist:

Joyce is seen smoking around the child-like Edward during the visit to the salon, setting a really bad example for this misfit who is trying desperately to fit into his new surroundings. This is the message all adults send when they smoke around teenagers... the message that tobacco use is somehow a normal part of adulthood, not the deadly drug addiction that it truly is!"
