Additional Comments: "This is a tobacco-free television movie. I decided to watch this because I remember seeing part of it as a kid back in 1973.  While the story is more faithful to the original novel than the classic Boris Karloff version, is still takes a lot of liberties with plot.  The one scene that I vividly remember from all of those years ago is the bizarre ending in the Arctic, which is actually taken right out of the novel."
