Additional Comments: I watched this movie to see how it compares with the George Clooney remake. It is exactly what you would expect from a film highlighting the Rat Pack, the 1960's definition of "cool". There were 50 smoking incidents in this film, and every member of the Rat Pack smoked frequently. Oddly, Richard Conte's character, Bergdorf, never smokes. Naturally, he is the one diagnosed with a mysterious terminal illness early in the film... a diagnosis made while looking at a normal, upside-down X-ray. Could it be lung cancer? Did he get the illness from the passive smoke exposure?
