Additional Comments: "I decided to watch this film after the death of the great Robin Williams, and it was even worse than I remembered it.  As far as tobacco use, Williams' Popeye character had a pipe present in every scene in which he appeared... including a boxing match.  He even used the pipe as a periscope at one point (not quite sure how that works).  Several other actors, including Ray Walston as Poopdeck Pappy, and MacIntyre Dixon as Cole Oyl, also seemed to walk around in every scene with pipes.  Both Popeye and Pappy were seen using their pipes around the baby Swee'Pea.  Interestingly, none of the pipes ever appeared to be lit or emit smoke.  However, I counted each appearance of a pipe within a scene as a smoking incident, for a total count of 77."
