Additional Comments: "The film's star, Humphrey Bogart, accounted for all but one of the smoking incidents in this film. In the strangest scene, Bogart arrives at an African village, where he tosses a half-smoked cigar to the ground. Members of the tribe then proceed to fight over the cigar, including several who run out of the missionary church in the middle of the service to chase after it. One additional personal note: I decided to review this film after taking a ridew on the orginal ship used in the film. The African Queen is currently available for tours in Key Largo, and the story of the ship's discovery and renovation alone is worth the price of admission!"
