Additional Comments:  "There was significantly less smoking in this film than in its predecessor The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.  However, there was some high-profile smoking early in the filme by two of the film's stars (Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage), which helped push the rating to 3 Butts."
