Additional comments: "The film's star, Mel Gibson, accounted for half of the smoking in this movie.  Oddly, most of the smoking took place before he had his amazing transformation into the more "sensitive" man.  As soon as he was transformed back, he started smoking again.  What's the message behind that artistic decision?"
